Welcome to my website lovely people!  I am glad you stopped by to learn how to make your life just a little bit more balanced.

I am Gabriella Vetere and I am the Registered Dietitian behind Macrobalanced Nutrition.


I am board certified registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) living in the Silicon Valley. I graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Food and Nutrition Science and completed graduate work and my dietetic internship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. I have a wide range of experience in health and wellness counseling and medical nutrition therapy. I also am currently a certified obesity and weight management specialist (CSOWM).

Post college, I started my career in medical nutrition therapy and counseling in San Francisco as the on site registered dietitian for Laparoscopic Associates of San Francisco and the Surgical Weight Loss Center of Hawaii. I helped counsel patients pre- and post-bariatric surgery as well as counseled non-surgical clients how to lose weight and find a healthy lifestyle. After three years, I took a quick hiatus and started working in home health where I educated patients on enteral nutrition and set up patients on home nutrition infusion through Coram CVS/Specialty Infusion services. Currently, I work in corporate wellness for a big tech company in the Bay Area, coach clients via an app called Rise (A One Medical Company), and do all things Macrobalanced Nutrition. 


I live with my husband Derryk in Campbell California with our dog, Maui (German Shepherd). I love to cook, bake healthy goodies, cycle, weight lift, hit the barre, practice yoga like a wanna-be yogi, drink good adult beverages in moderation, and explore beautiful California. My other passion besides nutrition and fitness is fashion and beauty which might come up a lot on the blog.


  1. What is my favorite food?
    PEANUT BUTTER. Hands down.

  2. What beauty product can I not live without?
    Mascara. (close second is chapstick/lipgloss)

  3. What is the best food advice you can give to any one?
    Don’t skip meals!

  4. What is my guilty pleasure?
    A good cocktail.

  5. Favorite place to relax?
    The shower.
